Event to include lectures by Peter Bell and William Frist1,500 expected for Alumni Day Feb. 22 Princeton NJ -- More than 1,500 alumni and parents of current undergraduates are expected on campus for a day of lectures, ceremonies and other events Saturday, Feb. 22. The annual Alumni Day and Parents' Program, coordinated by the Alumni Council, will begin at 9 a.m. with a variety of lectures, workshops and tours and end with a 6:30 p.m. dinner honoring the winner of the University's James Madison Medal this year. Highlights will include:
The Bell and Frist lectures will be open only to alumni with tickets. Other members of the University community are invited to view the lectures by simulcast in McCosh 50 or by live Webcast at http://www.princeton. edu/webmedia Other programs will include: A 12:15 p.m. Alumni Association luncheon and awards ceremony in Jadwin Gymnasium. A 3 p.m. service of remembrance in the University Chapel to honor deceased Princetonians and University faculty and staff members. A variety of other presentations are planned on topics ranging from "Imaging the Brain: A Window on the Mind" and "High Tech Engineering: New Directions for Engineering at Princeton" to "Making Your Comeback -- In Nonprofit and Corporate Work" and "'Glory Road!' A New Musical About the Underground Railroad." A number of programs are scheduled for families, including one on "Navigating the College Admissions Process" for students in grades 9 through 11. While the Alumni Day and Parents' Program is not open to the general public, members of the University community are invited to attend the lectures, panels and workshops.
