Student receiving flu shot

Fending off the flu

Princeton NJ -- Freshman Clay Dukes was among the 3,561 students, faculty, staff and family members who received flu shots Nov. 5-6 during FluFest. This year, the traditional University-subsidized flu vaccination program was expanded to incorporate a health and wellness celebration in the Frist Campus Center.

In addition to getting their shots, participants could engage in activities ranging from free massages to the "exercise boot camp" at the Cirque de Santé. Some 700 people had their blood pressure checked, 400 underwent body composition screenings and 20 signed up for smoking cessation classes. The events were coordinated by University Health Services.
