Name: Lisa Zimmaro.
Position: Manager in the Office of Risk Management. Coordinating the University’s property and casualty insurance program, the workers’ compensation claims management program, risk prevention and loss control efforts, and the University’s certificate of insurance program.
Quote: “Every day is different, with a unique issue. I’m fairly new in the scheme of things — having been here not quite three years yet — and it’s still a learning experience.”
Other interests: A marathon reader,
including vampire novels. Spending time with her husband of 28 years, Gary; her
20-year-old son, Dan; and her 17-year-old daughter, Rachel. Taking annual trips
to Sea Isle City, N.J. Recently adopted a retired racing greyhound.
Betty Ashwood, a member of the undergraduate financial aid office staff since 1977, has been promoted to associate director of financial aid and director of student employment, effective June 1.
She will succeed Robin Moscato, who has been named director of undergraduate financial aid.
Ashwood, a 1977 graduate of Douglass College, has managed a variety of areas over the years, including renewal aid for sophomores through seniors, study abroad, residential college advisers and other special categories of student aid. In her new position, she will oversee the day-to-day operation of the financial aid and student employment office and become more involved in policy and staff issues.
