All Natural Garden
Gardening has been part of life at Princeton-Blairstown Center for many years. In recent years, the garden has come to play a more prominent role in PBC’s identity. It allows visitors to participate in the cycle of our food supply and offers another form of experiential education.
In our garden, we use only organic practices to create optimal growing conditions. Participants take part in supporting our garden by contributing to the food and yard waste composting program. In 2009 the size of the garden was increased by almost 25%, helping to reduce food costs and promote a more healthy food environment for our participants and staff.
As the PBC garden continues to grow and be productive, it will serve as a lively part of our programming for urban youth.
