PRISM Affiliates Program

The most effective way to work with PRISM is through the PRISM Affiliates Program. Program benefits focuses on direct access to PRISM faculty and their leading research programs. This encompasses

  • Appointment as Princeton Visiting Research Collaborators
  • Access to PRISM shared used facilities (Micro/Nanofabrication Lab and the Imaging and Analysis Center)
  • PRISM short courses, workshops, annual review
  • PRISM staff expertise in prototyping and technology transfer
  • Expert assistance with joint proposals to funding agencies

Outside organizations who sign on a member PRISM are required to pay an annual fee which is renewable on a yearly basis. The fee is dependant on the degree of interactions and nature of the organization. Long term agreements and can factor in membership and joint efforts with PRISM to be funded by a third party source can also lead to membership.

  • Assistance with access to students involved in PRISM research programs facilitated through the director's office
  • Assistance with access to PRISM faculty and staff in order to make appropriate linkages for solving technical problems or in submitting joint proposals to various funding agencies (see section on Proposal  and Project Administration)
  • Rapid access to new technologies developed in PRISM
  • Receipt of announcements of PRISM activities such as the Annual Review, PRISM-sponsored technical programs and seminars, and access to information on course listings of materials-related curricula
  • All affiliates are assigned faculty liaisons to insure close connections on a technical level
  • The opportunity to designate employees as visiting PRISM collaborators and researchers to work on-site with PRISM faculty, as a means of obtaining firsthand access to new technologies being developed in our laboratories

Beyond these membership benefits, members of PRISM may be invited to serve on ad hoc panels that guide the direction and evolution of PRISM research and tech transfer initiatives.
