Imaging and Analysis Specialist

Working in both the PRISM IAC and department of Molecular Biology EM & Histology facilities, the Imaging and Analysis Specialist will be part of a team which participates in a multidiscipline research and education programs utilizing the instrumentation and capabilities available at Princeton. The candidate provides key support and guidance to researchers in characterization of both biological and solid state materials.

The specialist is responsible for the operation, training, and helping to manage complex research instrumentation, especially the Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) and a wide range of biological sample preparation equipment. The specialist should have a solid background in the characterization instruments using photon, electron, ion, and atomic force, etc. in coordination with existing staff.

Optical Lithography Engineer

The Princeton Institute for the Science and Technology of Materials (PRISM) Micro/Nano Fabrication Laboratory (MNFL) is looking for an Optical Lithography Engineer. PRISM is a materials science research center at Princeton University. The Optical Lithography Engineer will assume responsibilities for all processes and equipment including a Canon i-line Stepper, two Suss mask aligners, a Heidelberg DWL66 laser pattern generator, a near-field holography table, a Nanonex nanoimprinter. The Optical Lithography Engineer will provide assistance in the design and procurement of optical masks for applicable exposure tools. Other responsibilities include mentoring and training students and other researchers, facilitating research projects by suggesting process improvements, troubleshooting tool problems, communicating with vendors, developing new processes, writing internal documentation for tools and processes, and investigating, procuring, and installing new tools that would enhance the PRISM MNFL research effort. This appointment will be made at a professional specialist rank to be determined based on the experience of the successful candidate.
