How to Access the Lab
All users must attend the Princeton EH&S safety seminar and pass the MNFL safety quiz. Students must also attend a fabrication course. Please select the appropriate user category on the left for more information.
New users must schedule an appointment with Joe Palmer to arrange for a tour and for badging.
Equipment training, with a few exceptions, is done learning from experienced users. Typically, a new user must observe the tool of interest in operation 2 or 3 times. Then the user must show proficiency in operating the tool to a "superuser". Finally, the user must follow up with an observation by a staff member.
New users are required to supply their own substrates, tweezers and containers/glassware for processing. A variety of resists, solvents, acids, and other chemicals are available in the laboratory.
