Dr. Anthony Novembre joins PRISM as Associate Director
PRISM is pleased to announce that Dr. Anthony Novembre has joined PRISM as its first Associate Director. Working with the Director of PRISM, his role will encompass leading all aspects of the Institute, including the development of new research initiatives, interaction with industry and government, research facility and program management, and other Institute activities. He will work closely with both the faculty and staff of the Institute.
Dr. Novembre received his B.S. degree from Seton Hall University, an M.S. degree in Chemistry from Stevens Institute of Technology, and his Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry (1989) from Polytechnic University of New York. He joined AT&T Bell Laboratories in 1980, where for over 25 years his duties included principal researcher and R&D manager in the area of polymer physics and processing for nano/micro-electronic applications, especially related to lithography, nanopattering, micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), and photonic-based technologies. His latest roles at Bell Labs (also as part of Lucent Technologies and Alcatel Lucent) included business development manager of the Bell Labs research division, with leadership in developing multi-institutional consortia and intellectual property management. Most recently Dr. Novembre was a group leader at the U.S. Dept. of Commerce, National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Center for Nanoscale Science and Technology division. He has published over 100 publications, holds 16 patents, and has held leadership positions in multiple technical conferences.
