Craig B. Arnold
Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering
Director, Princeton Institute for the Science and Technology of Materials (PRISM)
Ph.D. 2000, Harvard
Research in the Arnold group focuses on laser interactions with materials and kinetics of far-from equilibrium processes. Current projects include laser direct-write and non-traditional patterning of small-scale and flexible structures with particular interest in electrochemical systems such as capacitors or batteries. Other work in the group looks at laser modifications of surfaces, photo-modifiable materials for optical transmission, and adaptive lens techniques for optical tweezing applications.
