Professor of Electrical Engineering
Ph.D. 1976, University of Illinois
Ravin Bhatt's research is in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics, in particular Disordered and Correlated Electronic Systems. These include Doped Semiconductors, Magnetic Semiconductors, Low Dimensional Electron Systems, Quantum Fluids and Solids, and Random Magnets. Of recent interest have been phenomena such as Quantum Hall Effect, Metal Insulator Transition and other Quantum Phase Transitions, and Spin Glass behavior. He is a Guggenheim Fellow, and a Fellow of the American Physical Society.
