David Huse

Professor of Physics
Ph.D. 1983, Cornell

David Huse does theoretical research in materials and statistical physics. Recent work has been on vortices in superconductors, including their phase transitions, their role in thermoelectric properties, and the special case of quantum Hall bilayers. The other main topic is magnetism: especially in materials with geometrical frustration, strong quantum effects, and/or strong disorder, as in spin glasses.
