Richard A. Register

Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering
Chair, Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering
Ph.D. 1989, University of Wisconsin – Madison
Prof. Register’s research interests revolve around the synthesis, morphology, properties, and dynamics of multiphase and multicomponent polymeric materials. Materials of particular interest include block copolymers, polymer blends, natural and synthetic semicrystalline polymers, ionomers, and fiber-reinforced thermoplastics. Current research areas also include the application of thin block copolymer films as templates, in novel nanopatterning and nanofabrication approaches; and the development of new materials, including block copolymers, for electroluminescent displays.
