Research in the Nanophotonics Design and Computation Group engages in theoretical and computational research in the field of nanophotonics: the study of light-matter interactions in nanostructured media with features at the scale of the electromagnetic wavelength. Our interests in this area span a variety of problems across and at the intersection of classical and quantum nanophotonics, including modeling and design of fluctuation-induced phenomena (e.g. Casimir forces, heat transport, laser bandwidth, and fluorescence) and low-power and single-photon nonlinear photonic devices.
