The Project Management Methodology

Description

The Princeton Project Management Methodology (PPMM) is Princeton 's methodology for managing the development and implementation of information systems. It is based on the project management methodology of Knapp and Moore, and incorporates best practices in project management.

The process of managing projects is essentially iterative, with planning, tracking and control, reporting, and review happening throughout the life of the project.  The process and a list of supporting templates are summarized in the following diagram:

There is basic project checklists available for project managers to help guide them through the steps that are common to most projects.  This may be especially useful for  Project Managers working without a Project Office resource.
