Director for Institutional Equity and EEO
Burgess is primarily responsible for coordinating the University’s affirmative action plan and state and federal compliance obligations related to equal opportunity. She conducts investigations and provides training on issues related to discrimination, harassment and retaliation. Before coming to Princeton in 2006, Burgess maintained an individual law practice and served as an equal employment opportunity specialist at Home Depot U.S.A., Inc. Previously, she held positions as an attorney at the New York City Board of Education and at Cullen and Dykman in New York.
Burgess earned a B.A. in Journalism and Media Arts from Long Island University and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.
