Princeton University China Energy Group hosted her first remote guest seminar yesterday at E-quad E423. Via teleconference, Prof. Zhentao Cong of Tsinghua University gave a presentation on China's hydropower situation. (For more about Prof . Prof. Cong overviewed the current status of hydraulic power usage, and discussed the opportunities and challenges in hydraulic power development in China. CEG members had free discussions with Prof. Cong about the science, engineering and policy issues related to hydro power plants.

The guest seminar was hosted by CEG member Bin Guo, who studied hydraulic engineering for undergraduate study in China. All CEG members are encouraged to invite guest speakers to give remote talks related to China energy issues. CEG will try her best to promote communication and group learning.
