REGISTER TO VOTE IN NEW JERSEY

In order to register and vote in New Jersey, you must:
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be at least 18 years of age on or before the election
- Not be currently serving a sentence, or on probation or parole, for a felony
- Be a resident of your permanent address for 30 days on the day of the election. Students at Princeton University in most cases will meet the residency requirement (if you are currently registered in your home state, you may still register in New Jersey but will only be allowed to vote in one state).
Registering to Vote
You can register simply by filling out the registration form, available here and at many PVotes events. There are also copies available at the Welcome Desk in Frist. You may drop your completed form off at any PVotes event to be mailed for you, or you may simply drop in any mailbox yourself, postage free. Note that the deadline for the receipt of this form is 21 days before the election, which is Tuesday, October 13 for the 2009 general elections.
