Sept. 14, (Mon., noon) Mandatory Undergraduate Meeting. (Dept. Lounge)
Sept. 23-25 (Wed. - Fri.) Meet with Departmental Representative to discuss Senior Thesis topics. (Bring completed form distributed @ meeting or located on web site.)
Oct. 1, (Thurs.) Thesis advisor assignments.
Oct. 7-9, (Wed.-Fri.) Meet with your thesis advisor during or before this week.
Oct. 26, (Mon.) Submit five-page thesis proposal to advisor. Should include: description of topic and approach, outline of chapters, short bibliography.
Nov. 16, (Mon.) Submit formal thesis plan, including a more detailed narrative outline of thesis, to advisor. Should include prose summary of each chapter.
Nov. 16-20, (Mon.-Fri.) Meet with Dep. Rep. to review Spring Course Selections.
Dec. 11, (Fri.) Submit draft of one chapter plus thesis plan revisions to advisor.
Jan. 18, (Mon.) Submit draft of second chapter to advisor.
Feb. 15, (Mon.) Submit draft of third chapter to advisor. (Email committee about senior t-shirts)
Mar. 8, (Mon.) Submit draft of entire thesis to advisor.
Apr. 12 , (Mon., noon) Submit two copies of thesis to Kerry Smith, Room 145.
April 28, (Wed., noon) Mandatory meeting for seniors, department lounge. (Discussion on Senior Comprehensive Examinations.)
May 5, (Wed., 12-2 pm) Department picnic, on the lawn by 1879 Hall.
May 7, (Fri., noon) Senior Comprehensive Statement (four copies) due to department secretary, Kerry Smith.
May 10, (Mon.) Students receive comments from first and second readers.
May 12-14, (Wed.-Fri.) Senior Comprehensive Orals. (You MUST leave these dates open and unscheduled.) Each exam allotted 90 minutes.
May 14, (Fri., TBA) Faculty Meeting to discuss senior grades. (Faculty Only)
May 25, (Tues., 11:00 am) Faculty Honors Meeting (Faculty Only)
May 31, (Mon. 3:30-5:00) Class Day Reception, Mathey College Common Room.
June 1, (Tues.) Commencement Day
