Chapel Music
The Princeton University Chapel supports a diverse music program of services, concerts and events. These include choral, organ and instrumental concerts as well as film and a community sing.
The University Chapel Choir, conducted by Director of Chapel Music Penna Rose, sings for the Sunday morning worship services, Opening Exercises, the Service of Remembrance and Baccalaureate. They also perform at concerts in December and April and join with the Jazz Vespers Ensemble for monthly Jazz Vesper services. They sponsor an annual showing of Phantom of the Opera and a Community Sing of Handel’s Messiah.
University organist, Eric Plutz, plays for Sunday services, weddings, funerals and memorial services and concerts in the chapel. In addition, he plans the weekly After Noon Concert series which features organists and other musicians from around the country.
