Summer Language Study With funding from the Program in Russian and Eurasian Studies and the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies, the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures has organized the highly acclaimed language program, Princeton in St. Petersburg. The program is held at the Nevsky Institute of Language and Culture. It is designed to enable students who complete their first year of Russian language studies on the Princeton campus (RUS 101 and 102) to take the second-year course during a two-month long summer experience in St. Petersburg, the cultural capital of Russia. The Program in Russian and Eurasian Studies also supports summer study abroad of third- and fourth- year Russian, thanks to the generosity of the Monty Raiser '92 Fund. The fund was established in 1993 in memory of R. Montgomery Raiser III, a Princeton student who had a strong interest in Russian affairs. In addition, the Department of Near Eastern Studies supports summer study abroad of the Turkish language. Visit the Office of International Programs online for more information about these and other study abroad programs.
