Bonnie Bassler wins 2012 L'Oreal-UNESCO Award in Life Sciences
Bonnie Bassler, Squibb Professor in Molecular Biology and a Howard Hughes Medical Institute investigator has been awarded a 2012 L'Oreal-UNESCO Award in Life Sciences. She was one of five scientists worldwide selected to receive the 2012 award, which includes a prize of $100,000. Bassler is best known for her efforts to understand how bacteria communicate.
