Hecate

Hecate is an SGI UV 1000 system with 1536 cores and a total RAM of 12 TB. The system runs a single operating system across all the processors, and any process on the system has access to all the memory via cache coherent nonuniform memory access (ccNUMA). This system is ideal for running very tightly coupled MPI or OpenMP codes that require large or shared memory across a number of processors. The machine was purchased through the NSF MRI grant (PI: R. Car; Co-PIs: Weinan E, J. Ostriker, J.P. Singh, M. Zaldarriaga) in collaboration with the Provost's office, PICSciE, IAS, PPPL, SEAS, CBE, MAE, PACM, CS and University of Munich.
Maintenance Window
Hecate will be down for maintenance the Tuesday following the fourth Monday of the month from 7-9 AM.
