Orbital
Orbital is a 268 node HP Beowulf cluster purchased collaboratively by Astrophysics, Physics, PICSciE, SEAS, Geosciences and the Provost's office. All compute nodes in this cluster are connected via an Infiniband network designed for high speed and low latency to enable excellent performance for tightly coupled MPI codes. Each node has 12-core Westmere processors and 48 GB of RAM allowing for large per task memory requirements.
Maintenance Window
Orbital will be down for maintenance the first Monday of the month from 7-9 AM.
