What is a Beowulf cluster?
A Beowulf clusters is a group of commodity computers - often PC’s - connected together via a local area networks. Each computer or node, which can have a single or multiple processors, runs its own copy of an Open Source Unix-like operating system such as Linux, BSD, or Solaris.
