Dear Parents and Families,
Welcome to the Rocky community! Rockefeller College, one of six residential colleges at Princeton, is located in the northwestern corner of the Princeton campus in beautiful Collegiate Gothic style buildings near the corner of Nassau Street and University Place.
The staff at Rocky has two main goals: To enrich the intellectual, cultural, and social experiences of our students, and to create a home-away-from-home at Princeton. Our advising community also includes faculty fellows, graduate student fellows, residential college advisers, and upperclassmen peer academic advisers; together we support the 500 freshmen and sophomores in residence (and the juniors and seniors who move to other housing) and arrange a wide variety of artistic, intellectual and social events.
We want you to know that you are an important part of the Rockefeller family, as well. Please feel free to join us for a meal in the dining hall, come to one of our regular film screenings in the Rocky-Mathey Theater, or just stop by the College Office in Madison Hall to say hello.
We know you will have many questions and concerns during your child’s time at Princeton, and we have done our best to anticipate them. In the section of our website, we'll provide you with lots of resources (at left) and a month-by-month guide for what to expect; you can also find information about the University at http://path.princeton.edu/ and an excellent resource for parents at http://path.princeton.edu/families.
We'll look forward to meeting you!
The staff of Rockefeller College
