Welcome back!
Welcome back from fall break! We hope that you had time to relax, and to prepare yourself to come back for a strong second half of the term.
Since post-midterms is a time when you may find yourself reevaluating your academics, remember to consult the ASAP website to find out more information about resources—there’s still plenty of time in the term to join a study group, improve your efficiency at taking notes or preparing for exams, or get help in office hours. Be sure that you’re getting to know your professors—that gets increasingly important, and is a good habit to develop early.
If you have questions about academic procedures, take a look at the FAQs on the academic pages, which give information about how to select P/D/F grading, drop a class, register for a graduate-level course, etc.
Enrollment for spring 2011 courses begins right after Thanksgiving: keep an eye out for emails from Dean Avens and Dr. Caswell Klein that give details about the enrollment process that you should follow.
Please pay close attention to which form to use for enrollment: the Academic Planning Form is required for all AB and BSE freshmen and AB sophomores, who use the APF to indicate academic plans, possible major(s), and courses for the coming term. The Academic Planning Form is located in SCORE, under Advising.
