Major: Woodrow Wilson School
Study abroad experience: I have not technically studied abroad, but over my years at Princeton I have traveled extensively and learned quite a bit. Last summer (2010), I went with the Office of Religious Life to Nicaragua and Honduras on a trip to learn about human rights in Central America. Earlier that same summer, I went with Children without Borders on an education oriented trip to El Salvador to teach in local schools. In Fall 2010, I went to China with the Ivy Council to take part in a conference on Youth Leadership. There are an incredible number of ways to travel around the world while at Princeton and during your undergraduate years I absolutely urge you to take advantage of every opportunity that you meet.
List of favorite courses: My favorite courses that I have taken at Princeton are: SOC 250 - The Western Way of War, ANT 342 - The Anthropology of Law, ANT 212 - Cultural Freedoms: Hate Speech, Blasphemy, and Pornography, and SOC 205 - Sociology from E Street: Bruce Springsteen in America
Hello! My name is Zach Beecher and I absolutely love Princeton. You have the opportunity to be enrolled in the world's greatest undergraduate institution - with the best classes, best professors, and most incredible peers. These 4 years are here for you to take advantage of and grow as much as you possibly can. I know I have done my best to do so. At Princeton, I am very much involved with student government as the Class of 2013 President, ROTC as a Cadet, the Pace Council for Civic Values, the Ivy Council, the newly founded Fair Wear, the Honor Committee, and the National Youth Association. I am also a very proud member of the Cap and Gown Club. If you have any questions at all, about anything at Princeton, please reach out to me. I can't wait to meet you.
