Major: Art & Archaeology, History of Art track
Study Abroad experience: I never spent a semester abroad, but one of the great things about Princeton is that hasn't meant that I haven't been able to travel at all in college. Last summer, I spent a month in Italy with the Italian department in an immersion language course with a bunch of other Princeton students, and I was able to travel around Italy for a while after the program as well. In addition, I took a course last fall on pre-Columbian Maya art that hosted a (fully funded) fall break trip to Guatemala, during which we traveled to Maya archaeological sites, visited national museums, spoke to Guatemalan scholars, and had a generally fantastic time.
Favorite Courses: ARC 204: Introduction to Architectural Design, ARC 308: History of Architectural Theory, ARC 401: Theories of Housing and Urbanism, ART 212: Neoclassicism through Impressionism, ART 394: Pre-Columbian Maya Art, ENG 345: 19th-Century Fiction
Hi all! I'm Gray Holubar and I hail from the sunny Bay Area. I'm in the Art History department but I'm focusing mostly on architecture and design, and I plan on going into a design profession of some sort after college. I trained pre-professionally in dance during high school, and at Princeton I have served as President of Princeton University Ballet, as well as dancing with diSiac Dance Company and the Dance Department. I also work in the Architecture Library, where I will employ my truly irreplaceable skills to check out books for you. I'm excited to nerd out about classes with all of you (for real... this ain't a joke). Feel free to get in touch with me with any questions you might have about Princeton!
Best way to reach me: I check my email (email@example.com) and my phone (650 208-2619) rabidly. Hit 'em up!
