Michael Hatch (G5) studies Chinese art in the Department of Art and Archaeology. Before coming to Princeton he spent three years living and working in Beijing as a freelance arts writer and as a client relations officer for a Chinese auction house. Prior to that he lived in Sweden for a year on a Rotary Club scholarship, which allowed him to trace his family genealogy while fulfilling one of his minor life fantasies of being a cross country ski bum. A 2003 graduate of Middlebury College, Mike also grew up in New Hampshire and Vermont, and gets back there often to hike, ski, and see family. This is his fourth year as an RGS, and his second year with Rocky. In the past he has run the Chinese Language and the Arts and Culture dinner discussion tables, he has taken small groups to nearby museums and art galleries in New York and Philly, and he helps facilitate the Rocky-Mathey yoga program.
