I grew up in the desert-- Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, that is-- though I am originally from Rovaniemi, Finland. Then, I attended boarding school in England before coming to the US for college. Four years at MIT taught me that science and engineering are awesome and made me realize that chemical/biological engineering is my calling. I then decided to pursue a Ph.D. at Princeton and I am currently a fourth year graduate student in the CBE department. Research in mammary gland development and breast cancer invasion is what gets me up in the mornings. Apart from academics, I enjoy running, skiing, BAKING, and EATING.
