These documentation pages may contain screenshots and instructions for an older version of Roxen CMS; however, most of the information should still be relevant. The Roxen CMS servers will be shut down September 2019.


Adding QuickLinks Menu:

  1. Go to
  2. Login with your Princeton NetID and password
  3. Click on the your departments directory (e.g. /dept)
  4. On the left hand side, click on the File button
  5. Choose Create New File
  6. Name the file “menu-quicklinks.xml” then click Next
  7. Change the type from “XML” to “CMS Menu editor”
  8. Choose the “Alternative Menu” stationery then click OK

In order to edit the QuickLinks File:

  1. Click the “menu-quicklinks.xml” file
  2. Click the Edit button on the left
  3. Choose Edit Contents
  4. Click Insert and choose Menu Link
  5. Insert the Title, Link, and Target
  6. Repeat step 4-5 for more links
  7. When finished, click Save & Close
  8. If you have a multiple step workflow, make sure you publish in the final step

(To change the label for your quick links, add the following line to variables.xml and change "New Label here" to a label of your choice.)
