Jidong Chen is a PhD student (since 2009) studying political economy in the Department of Politics. He uses game-theoretic models and empirical methods to study information aggregation and collective decision making within institutions. He is also interested in development issues from a comparative perspective, as well as interactions between governments and markets with a focus on regulation.
Jidong finished two years of graduate coursework in the School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University (China) before coming to Princeton. He also earned a BA in economics and a BS in mathematics from Wuhan University (China).
