When should I buy?
The SCI store will be open for the 2012-13 academic year from June 12, 2012 until June 4, 2013. SCI computers may be ordered at anytime while the store is open.
SCI computers may only be shipped to addresses in the 50 states. If you live in a US territory or have an international address you will need to wait until you are at Princeton.
While the majority of SCI computers arrive in about two weeks, normal shipping time is 2-6 weeks. SCI cannot guarantee any specific delivery times and cannot expedite shipping.
All full-time Princeton students are eligible to purchase an SCI computer for as long as they are actively enrolled. For their own academic use, students may purchase more than one SCI computer during an academic year, but are limited to one SCI purchase at a time. To be enabled to order a second SCI computer please call or e-mail the OIT Help Desk, 609-258-4357(HELP) or sci@princeton.edu. Financial aid or loans may only be used once. All billing must be completed before any additional computers are purchased.
Students considering or applying to participate in the Bridge Year program are strongly encouraged not to purchase a computer at this time. If you are a Bridge Year participant and have questions about purchasing a computer please call the Help Desk at 258-4769 (HELP).
Note: New students can log into the online SCI Store to purchase an SCI computer once they receive their Princeton University netID (early June). New students should wait and purchase their computers from the SCI program for their incoming year.
