Welcome to the VRC Online
The Visual Resources Collection (VRC) at Princeton University School of Architecture is a media library, archive, and audiovisual support resource.
Located on the ground floor of the Architecture Building, the VRC consists of three distinct collections:
- Images - Architecture-related images collected for departmental teaching and research since 1981 (analog and digital images, collections purchased from commercial vendors). About 3800 images from the digital collection are available in Almagest. Those images and more will soon be available online via ARTstor.
- Sound and Video Recordings - Recordings of SoA lectures, conferences, and round table discussions collected since 1975. This collection is growing and will increasingly be made available here on the Recordings page, and on iTunes U.
- Student Work - Drawings, model photographs, digital renderings, and animations designed by SoA students and collected since c. 1930. Pre-1980s student work resides in the SoA Archive, the School's repository of MFA and MArch projects which includes some teaching materials and administrative records.
The VRC also provides AV equipment (request form requires Net ID) and support to current faculty and students undertaking research, course-based projects and classroom/studio/thesis presentations.
