MATLAB Online gives new and existing users instant access to MATLAB - no download or installation is required.  This means that everyone can use MATLAB Online on personal computers, lab computers, or Chromebooks.
Faculty, researchers and students access MATLAB Online by associating their MathWorks Account with the University's TAH license.  You can then log in to MATLAB Online at  To enable the access from any location as well as file sharing, MATLAB Drive is also available to everyone covered by  our license.  With MATLAB Drive, users can synchronize their MATLAB files between their computer, MATLAB Online, and MATLAB Mobile.
  • MATLAB access is instant; new users do not have to do download and install to get started.
  • The current release of MATLAB is always available for in-class assignments and homework.
  • Files are easily shared and synchronized across computers/devices.
  • Introductory courses can easily leverage MATLAB from a web browser.

For more information on MATLAB Online and limitations, go to:

MATLAB Online is not meant to replace desktop installations and does not contain all tools and functionality contained in our TAH license.  Since MATLAB Online is web-based, users need internet access to connect.
