Latin American Film Festival - "Central do Brasil"
"Central do Brasil" (Central Station) (1998) - Organized by the Program in Latin American Studies, co-sponsored by Rocky College and the Department of Spanish and Portuguese Languages and Cultures. "Central do Brasil" is an Academy Award-nominated, Golden Globe-winning drama set in Brazil. It tells the story of a young boy's friendship with Dora,a jaded middle-aged woman who earns a living writing letters for illiterate clients at Rio de Janeiro's central train station.
