Lidia Santos (CUNY) - "Revisitando o nacional para exportação: da favela à Bienal de Veneza"
Prof. Lidia Santos is the author of Tropical Kitsch: Mass Media in Latin American Art and Literature (2006) and her conference will discuss the installation «Morrinho» by the Brazilian artists Paula Trope and Rosane Palazyan, showed at the Venice Biennale in 2007. Prof. Santos taught at Yale University and at the Univ. Federal Fluminense, Rio de Janeiro, and is currently Associate Professor of Luso- Brazilian Literature at Cuny, New York.
