Jorge Méndez Seijas is a linguist who has done research in phonetics and phonology. He completed his undergraduate studies in Spanish-American literature and linguistics in Venezuela, and graduate studies in Venezuela and Spain, where he specialized in the acquisition and learning of the phonic component of languages. He has been a lecturer in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese since 2010, and has taught SPA 103, SPA 107, SPA 108, SPA 207, SPA 209 and SPA 307.
