Need a floor plan for your suite or building?
Maybe you'd like to assist new faculty or students in getting from one area of the building to another. Or maybe you need to provide information to one of your vendors. Although designed for cabling and other IT purposes, many floor plans are available at OIT's Network Atlas II site. These are in a pdf format and may just fulfill your needs.

"Neither a borrower or a lender be" does not apply to mobile devices at Princeton
Maybe you need to borrow a cell phone for an on-campus event. Maybe you'd like to investigate using a PDA (Personal Data Assistant) for your staff member, but the only Blackberry you've ever known was edible. Or maybe you're traveling to a conference and need a wireless card for your laptop? The Telecommunications Department can help. They have a limited number of these devices available as loaners. Check out the details today, so you're prepared for tomorrow!

  A movie in a minute?
Yes! You can create your own animated video in about a minute...or as fast as you can type the dialog. Then you can change everything from backgrounds to characters...all without any particular software skills other than the ability to click a mouse. Xtranormal enables ordinary folks to make movies. "Xtranormal's mission is to bring movie-making to the people. Everyone watches movies and we believe everyone can make movies." --Company's Web Site

Protecting your privacy; fighting for your rights
The Electronic Privacy Information Center's site has numerous reports, articles, and resources for anyone whose personal information exists in cyberspace. Topics range from the use of cable TV records to the appropriateness of children's names in marketing databases. There's also an A-to-Z page of relevant links and an online guide to privacy tools.

"Anyone concerned about the civil rights implications of the Clipper chip, the Digital Telephony proposal, national ID cards, medical record privacy, credit records and the sale of consumer data will find this Washington public interest research center invaluable."      - The Atlanta Journal and Constitution
