Local and Long Distance Plans

Standard phone service and equipment

The University provides local and campus calling, caller ID, Voicemail, and EVM service in all dorm rooms free of charge. Students must supply a touch-tone phone. Cordless touch tone phones with a Caller ID feature can be purchased at the Telephone Office, Frist Campus Center, room 111.

Long distance calling using your PAC number

A Personal Authorization Code (PAC) number allows you to place billable long distance calls from all dormitory rooms and some courtesy phones, using the Princeton University long distance telephone service. There is no monthly charge for having a PAC. You will only be billed for long distance calls made with your PAC.

Tiger 400-Minute Calling Plan

Add the Tiger 400-Minute Calling Plan to your standard dorm room service. This package includes 400 anytime minutes (domestic long distance calls only) as well as our Cell Phone Connect Service (allows you to receive notification of voice mail messages on your cell phone) right in your dorm room. The cost for this package is only $15.00 per month (directory assistance calls not included) and will be billed to your telephone account monthly. Tiger 400 Request Form 

International long distance calls made under the Tiger 400-minute plan are billed per minute depending on which country you are calling.To look up the cost per minute rate for a particular country, go to International Calling Rates.
