Balancing the Central and Local: Interviews
The ISS oral history program encourages reform leaders to reflect on their experiences. Each oral history line engages leaders from eight or more countries in a focused conversation about a particular challenge. The interviews in this section highlight conversations about balancing the sometimes competing demands of politicians and citizens at the center and those at the periphery.
