IMAGINE Conference Call for Posters & Open for Registration
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE:
IMAGINE is a student organized, 1-day conference sponsored by the Princeton High Meadows Sustainability Fund. The goal of this conference is to bring together a diverse group of knowledgeable people from academia, government, media, and industry in order to encourage conversation and catalyze sustainable action. This year will feature two keynote speakers as well as three separate discussion panels focused on climate change, energy, and the community. The conference is geared towards Princeton University students, but will also be open to faculty, staff and the public.
The climate panel will address global climate change and its prominent causes, and discuss the way people view it and possible ways to dispel public misconceptions.
The energy panel will address the energy challenge, examine the need for new energy technologies, and discuss how they can permeate the market and be effectively implemented.
The community panel will address community oriented sustainability practices and their effectiveness, for example the ability of a community to effectively advocate change within its local government.
In addition, a poster session will be held displaying current Princeton research, sustainability activities, as well as local sustainability related businesses.
Registration is free for Princeton students, faculty and staff and includes a light breakfast and catered, buffet style lunch.
