SURGE (Students United for a Responsible Global Environment) and the USG are partnering together to encourage YOU to help cut energy waste this winter break. When students leave for break, high-energy use often continues. Plugged in appliances, turned on lights, and turned up thermostats draw energy and add to Princeton’s carbon footprint. This is where you come in.
By signing the Pull the Plug Pledge you agree to take the following actions before leaving:
- Turn off all lights and appliances
- Unplug all chargers
- Turn off all power cords
- Close your windows
- Turn down thermostats
You can also choose to allow Pull the Plug organizers to check your room over break to see if you turned everything off over break.
