Farmageddon, written and directed by Kristin Canty, is a documentary about Americans' rights to access fresh, healthy foods. It delves into the personal stories of small farmers and how their organic and sustainable practices have come under attack by the government and burdensome regulations. (2011, 1 hr. 18 mins).
Film screening at 5:30 pm followed by discussion in Forbes Special Dining Room (SDR)
Vegetarian dinner served 5-8 pm in main dining hall (for PU students only).
Professor Joseph Heckman (Rutgers University, Dept. of plan biology), an expert on organic farming, and Kevin Brown, fitness and nutrition expert and published author featured in the film will both be there for discussion and to answer questions.
