The Princeton Campus Farmers Market at Firestone Plaza will return this spring for five weeks, open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays from April 17 through May 15. Members of the University and local communities will have an opportunity to purchase fresh locally grown produce and other goods from area farmers and businesses that use sustainable practices. Available will be a range of items including organic fruits and vegetables, grass-fed beef and lamb, free-range poultry and eggs, organic sandwiches and salads. Vendors include: Beechtree Farm, Davidson's Exotic Mushrooms, Griggstown Quail Farm, Sweetmama's desserts, Whole Earth Center, and Witherspoon Bread Company. The farmers market was launched in 2007 by Greening Princeton, a student organization devoted to improving environmental sustainability, and is staffed by volunteers from Greening Princeton and other student sustainability groups.
