Lewis Film Series - "The State of the Ocean's Animals"

Lewis Science Library Film Series Spring 2011 presents: JOURNEY TO PLANET EARTH Produced by NASA, NSF, USDA World Bank, et al. Lewis 138 Fridays from 4-5 p.m. Everyone is invited! Narrators: Kelly McGillis, Matt Damon This series illustrates the desperate need for a balance between the needs of people and the environment to ensure a healthy, productive society. It discusses environmental issues without regard for national, political or cultural boundaries. It investigates a growing national security threat throughout the world, examines the devastating environmental, political and economic effects of the degradation of the world's grasslands, and examines how recent trends in globalization and the altering of ecosystems have led to dramatic increases in the spread of infectious diseases.
