FOOD DAY Webinar

Food Day—the national campaign for healthy, sustainable, affordable, and fairly produced food—is back! For the second consecutive year, Food Day will take place on October 24, and Shaping NJ, United Way of Northern New Jersey, and the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI), the national sponsor of Food Day, hope you will join us on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. for the kickoff Food Day New Jersey 2012 planning webinar to shape a Food Day 2012 statewide campaign. Check out our Food Day 2011 campaign report for highlights of what happened in the Tri-State area and around the country last year. During the webinar, we’ll discuss Food Day in New Jersey: key groups and priorities to target; how your organization can use Food Day to promote healthy food access and a just, sustainable food system in New Jersey; AND how collectively we might create a food and health collaborative effort among participants and stakeholders that aims to create food-secure communities and improve the quality of life in New Jersey by supporting practices, projects, and policies leading to increased use of nutritious, locally produced foods.
