Feeding a Hot and Hungry Planet: The Challenge of Making More Food and Fewer Greenhouse Gases( More about event)
As world population continues to grow, with a forecast to reach 9 billion or greater by 2050, more and more people on this planet will be using more of earth's dwindling resources to grow food. At this three day conference, scholars from around the world will look into the need to significantly increase food production while reducing agriculture's contribution of about 30% of the world's greenhouse gases and explore the scientific, ethical and policy questions raised by this challenge.
