Lecture - The Great Immensity
( More about event)
The Great Immensity is a new play by The Civilians that explores climate change, deforestation and extinction and the effects that these have on the future of our planet. The lead artists of the play will be in residence at the University this academic year and will work with both faculty and students to conduct research to further develop the play. This will culminate in an initial workshop of the play in April 2010. This lecture will feature a discussion on how science and art can interact. Emmet Gowin, a professor from the Lewis Center and writer/composer team who created The Great Immensity are slated to speak.
