Students Attending The Climate Rally

Today, Sunday, April 25, Earth Day Network and partner
organizations will organize a massive climate rally on The National Mall to demand Congress enacts climate and clean energy legislation in 2010. Any students interested in attending with some of Princeton's Students United for a Responsible Global Environment (SURGE) members, please contact Alexandra (see contact information below). The Climate Rally will capstone Earth Day Network's nine-day event on The National Mall with speeches from environmental stewards Reverend Jesse Jackson, film director, James Cameron, AFL-CIO President, Richard Trumka, Olympic gold medalist, Billy Demong, producer, Trudie Styler and author, Margaret Atwood the issue of climate change to an international stage. Live music from artists such as Sting, John Legend, The Roots and others will also be featured.
